Chickip Dancers is a Japanese anime series from Fanworks, adapted from a San-X line of food characters given human traits. Each episode runs five minutes, and the show marks the first time San-X characters have appeared in a terrestrial broadcast anime. It originally aired on NHK Educational TV between October 2021 and March 2022.
The characters were first unveiled by San-X on February 12, 2021, alongside the announcement of the anime. The series is directed by Rareko, who also handles scripts with Shigenori Tanabe. Erino Yumiki performed the opening theme, "Chickip Dance." A second season ran from September 2022 to March 2023, and a third from September 2023 to March 2024.
Beyond the anime, merchandise and other media were planned. A video game for Nintendo Switch came out in 2022, as did a soundtrack CD. Shogakukan published several children's books based on the series in Japan.
