**Plot**

Retsuko is a 25-year-old single red panda working in the accounting department of Carrier Man Trading Co., Ltd., a Japanese trading firm. To release her pent-up emotions, she visits a karaoke bar each night to sing death metal. After five years of this grind, her misery triggers a chain of events that threatens her job, forcing her to rethink her relationships with colleagues and leading to unexpected changes in her life. She then seeks happiness and eventually decides she wants to marry and raise a family. However, her social anxiety and timidity often drag her into more complicated situations than she anticipates.

In Season 4, the focus shifts from Retsuko to her office colleagues, each facing their own distinct problems. Season 5 centers on Retsuko becoming involved in Japanese government, running for a seat on the city assembly, while also following Haida after he quits his office job and gets evicted from his parents' apartment.
